GREEN INTERIORS

Good evening lovelies and gentleman (FRED)!!!

Hope your Monday was as positively inspiring as today's color crush.... GREEN.  I must admit I do not really care for the color green as a stand alone accent; however I am drawn to the pairing green and pink in a beautiful way...SHOUT OUT TO THE beautiful AKA sisters who fabulously represent these colors!!!

I was recently inspired by the lighting fixtures in the below picture.  The green chairs in contrast to the wall, table, and buffet offer multi layers that compliment each perfectly.  The modern blue painting was the "icing" on the cake signifying a well appointed room.

Like the textured white walls...graphic INK BLUE art, AQUA velvet chrs, and EMERALD GREEn glass...cool mix of lighting fixtures too!!

Since I was drawn to the aforementioned photo, I immediately became inquisitive the green potential and begin a search for green interiors, green walls, and velvet sofas.  As I progressed through the various options, I came across the INSPIRATION of the day...dark walls and green upholstered chairs...G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!! and fabulous floors to boot!!!
Essex & kelly green black and white floor

Then once I believed it couldn't /wouldn't get any better, I came across the room below....Stunning!!!!
gray and green color palette topped with a gold ceiling!

Bold and beautiful green curtains!!!! This space instantly makes me happy....to the point where I was  about to do the running man...GO MEL GO MEL...its your birthday!!!! Whenever I do the running man its about to get really serious in the building. :-)

Warm Kitchens + Cozy Living Rooms = Soulful Sundays

I hope each of you are having a splendid Sunday and your overall weekend was OUTSTANDING!

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week.  You see in our home, Sundays are spent leisurely,  relaxing the day away with slight preparation/organization for the upcoming work/school week. We generally consume LARGE home cooked meals with multi courses that can last for a few days. I enjoy this time I am able to share with my loved ones...its like food for the soul; better yet, soul food... without the calories.

Since Sundays = Large meals in the KITCHEN + lounging in the LIVING ROOM, I decided to share some photos of my favorite kitchen and living rooms that not only inspire me but are soulful in design.

I love the overall color scheme of the first photo.  Mixing cabinetry finishes is a great way to modernize and add character to a space.

A large island is a must....especially if its a piece of furniture!!!!  I love how the white modern cabinets marry with the traditional cherry furniture.  The below look is timeless.
