We started the weekend off with the most perfect weather day here in Atlanta. Let me set the stage for you...70 degree weather, blue skies, sunshine, and breezy......wouldn't, couldn't complain because the weather was in deed P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I guess all good things must come to an end because the freshness of yesterday's past has been completely transformed into skies of grey of today. Determined not to let the change of the weather dampened the mood, I found sunshine in the above photo.
Although, I have no design elements within my home that the represents the color yellow, I was inspired by the photo above which ultimately led me to the collection below.
The photo represents a well balanced room. The yellow wallpaper and curtains create the perfect backdrop. The grey sofa and abstract rug anchors the space, while the oversized photography ties to the two worlds together and prevent the walls from looking too busy. I love it!
Opposite from the above picture, the photo below creates a warm grey setting with a punch of yellow in the window dressings and the dining room chairs. (The chandelier is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G).
I LOVE the vibrancy of the yellow interior doors. What a cheerful and lively space!
The below picture is the perfect example on how to incorporate the color yellow through an art medium. The abstract painting is beautiful in the space.
The yellow sofas in the below photos are to die for. I love the yellow and grey combination; its young, fresh, and modern.
For those of us less adventurous the next two photo offers great inspiration by injecting a monochromatic color scheme with bites of yellow here and there. The space below is quite lovely.
Chocolate and brown!!!! How delish is the space below??? It is truly a glamorous space and upbeat space.
My goal for each and every post is to inspire at least one person to step out of their design comfort zone...be open to the endless possibilities in creating their very own unique space. I also hope that we all learn how to appreciate the beauty of a well executed space by finding inspiration in everything around us. Last but not least, I each person reading this blog walks away learning something new about themselves.
Always find inspiration even when the skies are grey.
All the very best,
Melanie
